While there has been alot going on in Congress about Immigration as of late. There has been no news or changes in the requirements and elgibility for citizehship and/or naturalization.
However, we would like to encourage all legal permanent residents that are eligible for naturalization, do so whenever possible. As a legal permanent resident, you are not entitled to stay in the US, and your permission to stay can be revoked. As an immigration attorney I have seen many cases in which families were broken up, and had one person filed for naturalization any time prior when they could of, this would have been avoided.
